Warranty Policy
Sulphur City Sabers stand behind what we sell and if there is a genuine defect in workmanship or failure during normal use, we will address it. We offer a manufacturer backed, return-to-base, limited warranty covering defects in workmanship for a period of 12 months from the original purchase date.
Sulphur City Sabers will in the first instance engage remotely with the customer in order to perform basic, directed troubleshooting with an aim to remedy an issue or determine the need to return the product for a warranty evaluation.
In the case of warranty evaluation, products (including blade & charging cable) must be returned to Sulphur City Sabers in order that the saber can be assessed. Subject to the warranty evaluation, the fault or defect will either be determined as covered by warranty (resulting in a free repair or if a repair is not possible, a replacement) or not covered by warranty.
The customer is responsible for the initial cost of returning the product to Sulphur City Sabers for warranty evaluation. Shipping service(s) must include tracking and insurance cover to the value of the product to protect against loss / damage whilst in transit. The shipping service and cost of shipping is to be agreed between the customer and Sulphur City Sabers prior to shipping.
If following evaluation, the fault or defect is deemed covered by the warranty, the cost of shipping will be reimbursed to the customer and return shipping will be covered by Sulphur City Sabers. Should the fault not be deemed covered by the warranty, products may, at Sulphur City Sabers’s discretion & agreement, be repaired and the product returned to the owner at the owner’s expense.
If we deem return of the product for warranty evaluation is not necessary (i.e. a warranty issue was diagnosed remotely) Sulphur City Sabers will cover the cost of shipping any replacement part(s) to the customer.
We go to great lengths to explain the differing saber technologies and what constitutes ‘normal use’ for each saber technology (install option). This is to ensure that the customer chooses the right saber & saber technology (install option) for their intended use. Here’s what is and is not covered by warranty for each saber technology (install option):
RGB Baselit Sabers
What’s covered
- Factory defects in workmanship.
- Defect / failure of electronics from normal use (including dueling).
- 3mm walled heavy grade blades from normal use (including dueling).
- 2mm walled mid grade blades from normal use (NOT including dueling). We ship 3mm walled heavy grade blades as standard. 2mm walled mid grade blades are only shipped on request.
What’s not covered
- USB charging cables (unless faulty on receipt / first use).
- Wear & tear.
- Issues caused by unauthorised DIY repair, accident, misuse, abuse, negligence, improper handling (such as overtightening and stripping blade retention screw threads, inserting cells with incorrect polarity etc).
- Inflicted damage from dropping, submerging in water, or other non dueling related activities.
- 2mm walled mid grade blades (damaged by dueling).
- Impact damage to hilts in areas that in the product description, we note may be a concern for customers wanting to duel with that particular model hilt.

- Issues caused by unauthorised DIY repair, accident, misuse, abuse, negligence, improper handling (such as overtightening and stripping blade retention screw threads, inserting cells with incorrect polarity etc).
- Inflicted damage from dropping, submerging in water, or other activities outside the scope of ‘normal use’.
- Defect / failure of electronics from impacts / dueling.
- Defect / failure of pixel blade from impacts / dueling.

- Modifications made to configurations / SD card content or other programming that causes errors or malfunction.
- Damage to the electronics caused by improper handling when attempting to ‘DIY’ program the board.
Warranty is non transferable. In addition to the warranty terms above, all consumer purchases from Sulphur City Sabers are covered by the Consumers Guarantees Act (CGA).
